Seeking to diversify geographically and economically from the California property investment market, since 1977, John Klimp has organized more than 28 limited partnerships and limited liability companies to purchase income properties in the Portland, Oregon Metropolitan area and in Seattle, Washington. These properties included apartment communities as well as office and commercial properties. In the early 1980's, Mayfield Investment Company's limited partners in these properties received significant tax write-offs and substantial income tax savings.
